Reality Check

The Social Planning and Research Council (SPRC) has been active in Hamilton for more than forty years, engaged in community research and community development.  The goal of the SPRC is:
“To improve the quality of life for the citizens of Hamilton through strengthening the community's understanding of social problems, developing strategies and the community's capacity for addressing these problems and assisting community groups to implement these strategies.”
In working toward this goal, the SPRC takes on the following roles:

Every couple of years the Board of Directors of the SPRC conducts a “Reality Check”.  This helps us to better understand the impact of our work from the perspectives of local groups, organizations, agencies, institutions and individuals.  Ultimately, we want to know:
